ITR-4 Form Filing

ITR-4 for section 44AD, 44ADA and 44AE cases that meet the form’s conditions.

ITR-4 (Sugam) is for resident individuals, HUFs and firms other than LLPs who opt for presumptive taxation and whose income and facts fit the form for that assessment year. It is a shorter return, but it is easy to misuse. We check the turnover limit, the cash-receipt condition and whether you are barred because of capital gains, foreign assets or directorship.

Who this is for

  • Small traders under section 44AD
  • Specified professionals under section 44ADA
  • Goods-carriage owners under section 44AE

Documents usually needed

  • PAN, Aadhaar and bank details
  • Turnover or gross receipts, with GST numbers if you have them
  • Partner or vehicle details where relevant
  • AIS and TDS statements

How Digital Filings handles it

  1. Test whether presumptive taxation is available this year.
  2. Compute deemed income and compare it with a normal computation if you want that choice explained.
  3. File ITR-4 and e-verify.

Timeline

Most Sugam returns are filed within 1 to 3 working days of a clear turnover figure.
